these metrics are experimental and subject to change as we iterate and refine the system we welcome your feedback to help us improve accuracy, usability, and coverage advanced pubconsent metrics are a set of experimental performance indicators designed to help you evaluate the impact and effectiveness of your consent experience these metrics are currently in beta and available in the report section of the dashboard why advanced metrics? we’ve introduced these metrics to give you deeper visibility into how your cmp (consent management platform) is performing across real user sessions they allow you to understand when and how the consent banner appears evaluate the user’s response time to the banner measure performance changes after optimizations (or regressions) each metric is based on real world data collected anonymously from chromium based browsers (e g , google chrome, microsoft edge) and presented using the 75th percentile to reflect typical user experience available metrics 🟠 first consent banner paint (fcbp) definition measures the time between the first contentful paint (fcp) and the moment the pubconsent banner is rendered on screen why it matters this metric indicates how much time users can see page content before being interrupted by a consent request a lower value means a smoother experience with less friction 🔵 open banner time (obt) definition measures the time between the start of the page load and when the pubconsent banner becomes visible to the user why it matters a faster obt means your consent banner is being injected efficiently and without unnecessary delays, contributing to better performance perception if obt is high, we recommend reviewing your cmp integration and overall website performance to identify areas of improvement lowering this metric can significantly enhance the experience for your users 🟢 user action time (uat) definition measures the time between the moment the banner is shown and when the user takes action (accept or reject) why it matters this metric helps you understand how intuitive and accessible your consent ui is a shorter uat may indicate better design, copy clarity, or placement data privacy all data used for these metrics is collected anonymously not linked to individual users used solely for performance analysis within the cmp we do not store or track any personal information through this process
